Malvern based D-RisQ selected to be part of the inaugural Airbus Defence and Space UK Accelerator, part of the wider Community for Space Prosperity

D-RisQ has been selected to be part of the first cohort of the Airbus Defence and Space UK Space Accelerator being delivered by Plexal. This is the first of its kind and part of the wider Community for Space Prosperity (CUSP) initiative to develop the UK’s space ecosystem.

Over the next 14 weeks, they’ll be working with Plexal and Airbus Defence and Space teams to develop our business and technical offering. They are in good company, joining the programme alongside an outstanding, diverse cohort of high-tech companies: Aquark Technologies, Angoka, Yondar Space, LIA Aerospace, Calnex Solutions, Physical-Mind London, Applied Atomics, BioOrbit and Magdrive.

The announcement was made at the Farnborough International Airshow at a special launch event hosted by Airbus where the programme and the cohort were presented. The event included the opportunity for the cohort to mix with many companies and agencies from the space sector and make connections for the future; all part of the great support being provided by Airbus.

In 2020, D-RisQ secured £360k seed investment from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund, managed by Midven, part of Future Planet Capital. The selection of D-RisQ for the inaugural Airbus Defence and Space UK Accelerator is a signifier of the promise of this West Midlands high tech company.

Nick Tudor, Co-Founder and CEO of D-RisQ said:

“This is a great opportunity for D-RisQ to be guided by Airbus and Plexal on evolving our business to meet the needs of the space sector. We are looking forward to having the opportunity of bringing value from our automatic verification tools to the sector and accelerating access to space for the UK space supply chain….and beyond.”
