Wisdom, the world’s largest social audio-powered mentorship platform, today announces the addition of the ‘Meet’ tab to make it even easier for people to discover, connect and listen to interesting minds in its community. This new feature release follows Wisdom’s recent nomination as App of the Day on the Apple App Store.
Now, users are able to add a short voice note introduction to their Wisdom user profile. On the Meet tab, Wisdom’s algorithms will recommend each user with a daily batch of 15-20 voice intros from people that may be of interest for them to meet. Users can scroll through and playback the voice intros, then follow members that sound appealing. Additionally, Wisdom’s new Direct Messaging (DM) feature means that after following, users can now have one-to-one private chats.
These new features mark Wisdom’s entry into the world of social discovery, a sector that is estimated to be twice the size of the online dating market, according to a recent Match Group earnings call. The app aims to use asynchronous audio to facilitate natural and relevant introductions between members within the Wisdom community to help build more impactful connections.

This update follows a series of new features such as ‘Claim Your Podcast’, ‘Suggested Follows’ and ‘Audience Reactions’ that were released to improve user experience, boost audience engagement levels and deliver more value for the Wisdom community. Wisdom also recently launched on Google Play, expanding its community to both iOS and Android users.
