Bob Ross Inc. is expanding the legacy of the iconic painter into the world of gaming with the launch of Bob Ross Games, a new studio built entirely within Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). Developed in partnership with Chartis, the creator‑first gaming venture founded in 2025, the project brings players directly into the landscapes, studio environment and creative philosophy of Bob Ross.
The launch marks a major step beyond last year’s successful Bob Ross Tycoon, which introduced the artist to Fortnite’s massive audience. Since its debut in August 2025, players have logged more than 120 million minutes, signalling strong demand for deeper, more immersive Bob Ross experiences.
A Fully Immersive Bob Ross World
Unlike the tycoon‑style gameplay of the earlier title, Bob Ross Games is designed as a creator‑driven hub that places players inside Ross’s world — from his signature mountain vistas to the calm, encouraging mindset he brought to The Joy of Painting. Three original titles will roll out across 2026, each encouraging players not just to play, but to think like Bob Ross.

First Title, Joy of Painting, Arrives in May
The studio’s first release, Joy of Painting, launches in early May. The experience places players inside a living Bob Ross landscape, where they can paint using virtual versions of his brushes and techniques. Guided by Ross’s prompts and surrounded by the mountains, lakes and skies that defined his work, players can create their own masterpieces in a shared multiplayer environment.
