Pink Storage today announced the launch of ‘Pink Brain’, a specially designed AI operating system created to autonomously run its self-storage facilities, a major leap forward in real-world infrastructure.
Pink’s latest Nottingham site is the first in the company’s portfolio conceptualised and built with ‘Pink Brain’ at its core. Engineered from the ground up to support advanced robotics and autonomous systems, the facility has been future-proofed for drones, robotic dogs, humanoid robots, and self-driving vehicles. This breakthrough sets a new standard for the next generation of unmanned storage sites.
Pink Brain functions as a central nervous system, acting as a live sensor that continuously feeds data into the platform. AI processes this information and deploys commands back to the sites automatically, in real time.
Detect. Decide. Deploy.
The long-term vision is clear: self-storage facilities operated entirely by AI and robotics. As the system evolves, its capabilities will expand, allowing drones to manage security, humanoid robots to handle cleaning and maintenance, and autonomous vehicles for logistics.
Unlike traditional automation, Pink Brain is not a single tool or add-on; it is a full operating layer integrating software, sensors, and robotics into the physical space.
“We’re not automating areas; we’re automating entire sites,” said Scott Evans, Founder of Pink Storage. “The ultimate self-storage facility is one where AI and robotics handle all daily operations. Humans won’t run the sites anymore; instead, they’ll maintain the code and the machines in the background.”
Pink Storage expects customers and the public to see early deployments of AI and robotics across its sites as soon as next month, with security drones and autonomous robotic systems already scheduled to go live.
“You’ll see eyes in the sky and dogs that are far more intelligent than us humans,” Evans added. “This isn’t tomorrow’s world, it’s happening now.”
With Pink Brain, the company moves beyond storage, positioning itself at the intersection of AI, robotics, and autonomous infrastructure, a space that storage operators globally have yet to enter at this scale.
Pink Storage believes this model represents the future and is redefining how physical assets are designed, operated, and scaled.
