Starting in January 2025, the Share Item Location feature will allow travelers to securely share real-time tracking information using Apple’s Find My app and AirTags. This functionality enables passengers to create secure, time-limited links, giving participating airlines, airports, hotels, and resorts precise location updates for lost or delayed luggage. Designed with privacy in mind, the shared location data refreshes automatically and expires either after seven days or when the item is recovered.
