ENGO, the leading specialist in smart glasses for running and cycling launches engo3 Titanium: at 28.9 grams, it is the lightest augmented reality running glasses ever made with 24+ hours autonomy.
Engo Titanium’s temples are made in France using 3D-printed titanium, a process inspired by aeronautical design. This exemplifies Engo’s philosophy – to make its AR glasses as light as possible by excluding any unnecessary features (such as a camera, audio and AI) during the design process to focus on battery life and comfort so that athletes can seamlessly focus on their performance. In line with the engo3 product range, Engo Titanium features a colour HUD, live performance data and a customisable display of 40+ metrics.
Thanks to Engo’s light AR technology, also featured in the current engo3 product range, Engo Titanium enhances road runners’ and cyclists’ experience with a customisable interface (via the companion app) that displays critical information in real time within their field of vision: heart rate, pace, cadence and more to enable them to reach their training goals. Beyond standard data, engo Titanium integrates advanced widgets that allow users to follow structured workouts (such as interval training) and adjust their pace in real time, without taking their eyes off the road.
The lighter the glasses the better the performance
Engo’s innovation lies in optimising its AR glasses for athletic performance. All of its technology is focused on its light design and the quality of the display, rather than adding extra features which will add additional weight such as cameras, speakers, microphones and additional processing power that would require a heavy battery. Traditional sport glasses weigh between 25 to 40 grams on average without any smart features. Engo Titanium weighs only 28.9 grams and packs a punch when it comes to AR smart display technology.
Engo’s unique HUD technology makes invisible performance information visible while allowing the athlete to keep their eyes up at all times. Titanium is the pinnacle of Engo’s design philosophy, not only is the lightest AR smart glasses on the market, it could potentially shave seconds and even minutes off race times.
Éric Marcellin-Dibon, co-founder of ENGO Eyewear: “With engo Titanium we redefine what it means to wear performance glasses. Our design is so light and seamless that athletes forget they’re even there while still delivering the most relevant data, anticipating their needs, and keeping them fully focused. For an endurance athlete or road cyclist, we believe that means the right information in your field of view, exceptional comfort and enough battery life to forget about the technology altogether.”
Engo Titanium is available as a limited edition exclusively from www.engoeyewear.com for 599€ / $689.95 USD / £489.95 for the classic version. 649€ / $759,95 USD / £549.95 for the photochromic version.
