Smart CT wins hat-trick of major support contracts across the world

IT LIFECYCLE services expert Smart CT has signed three contracts that will see it supporting more than 65,000 devices across the UK, Europe, South Africa, Australia and Asia.

CEO Andy Morgan said the Reading company’s reputation for high standards of customer service and value for money clinched both deals.

The company, which provides services to deploy, maintain, replace and repair business-critical IT infrastructure on behalf of IT manufacturers in a range of sectors, will support 50,000 end user networking devices and switches for 70 government organisations, banks, airports, councils, fire and rescue services and water and delivery companies.

A second deal will see Smart CT supporting 12,000 devices for 279 health bodies and retail outlets in the UK, Italy, Czech Republic and South Africa.

The third deal involves 5,000 routers, switches and Wi-Fi access points for a global soft drink giant at production facilities in Europe, Indonesia and Australia.

All three deals will see its network of engineers attending callouts with four hours or by the next working day to replace or repair devices.

“We’ve been chasing these deals for quite a while, particularly one of them, and the new business in Australia is a first for us so I’m delighted to get them all across the line,” said Mr Morgan. “We were only able to manoeuvre into position to win both deals because of the strong and consistent support internally, so it has been a brilliant team effort,” he said.

“The customers were impressed with our track record, our planning for the transition and attention to detail in understanding their needs, our commitment to EDG principles and, not least, the way our staff welcomed them to our offices during visits.”

He said deals strengthen Smart CT in the market place and puts it in a strong position to win more business. “After several big wins in the manufacturing and retails sector last year we are beginning to be seen as a key player because we can deliver on our promises, our 99 per cent SLA scores are testament to that,” said Mr Morgan.

“We are making huge strides in other sectors too and key appointments like new COO Eddie Egan are ensuring we have the structure to continue scaling up and meeting our customers’ needs.”
